2011 for os x. Sep 7, 2016 - By default, a new install of OSX doesn't let iShowU see mouse and keyboard events. In that iShowU can create mouse and keyboard. Just upgraded to Yosemite and it seems like the Jitouch extension is asking me to 'Enable access for assistive devices', it is opening the System preferences for me and it has already places System preferences on the list of apps that can use the assistive devices. Everything seems to look OK but after each reboot, I get the same alert message, and clicking OK takes me back to System preferences to 'Enable access for assistive devices'. But where exactly is the 'Enable access for assistive devices' box to be ticked? Since Mavericks that facility has been reworked in order to provide much tighter security (at the price of more difficulty in allowing programs to control other programs). I assume Yosemite is much the same: in Mavericks, go to System Preferences>Security & Privacy and click the 'Privacy' tab: If the application in question shows in the list make sure it's checked. If it isn't there, drag it into the list. ![]() (Obviously you will need to click the lock icon and sign in with your admin password before proceeding). I'm sorry, I haven't made things very clear in my initial post. Jitouch isn't an app per se, so it cannot be found in the Finder, in the Applications folder. It is a System Preferences extension (I believe that's what it's called) that resides and shows up only in System Preferences, down in the last row, which I believe is reserved for user installed extensions, like Flash Player or others similar to that. So dragging the app from the Finder is not an option here, neither is dragging the extension from System Preferences, since i can't open more than one System Preferences at a time. Following the procedure described above, the right panel in Security & Privacy / Privacy / Accessibility does in fact contain System Preferences in the list, which made me believe the issue should have been taken care of. Still, rebooting the system, brings the alert message back on the screen, which means something doesn't work or doesn't get saved in the process. Norton antivirus for mac free. ![]() That's what I'm trying to find out. And no, several e-mails to the developer of Jitouch extension did not fix the problem, because no one replied.
